Movers 'N' Groovers is a very solid late 60s instro LP that packs a funky punch from start to finish. Producer is Jack Dorsey.
Original tune Blue 'N Groovy should be familiar to some after being comped a couple of times in the 1990s. Unlike the session musicians whose identity remains a secret. The hand of John Schroeder has been rumoured but nothing confirmed.
Elsewhere Long Tall Sally is transformed into a defiant stomp while Green Onions is mean and lean.
The Mighty Quinn closes the LP with a swinging flourish.
